Ethical Pomsky Breeding

A Pomsky is a crossbreed between the Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian dog. It was initially bred to be a small version of the husky breed and is now known as one of the most beautiful designer breeds alive today. 

Over the past five years, we have worked diligently to start our breeding Program with the purchase of our Husky Dam Keeta pairing with our proven Pomeranian Stud Chester to start our foundation lines.  With being the first to produce F1 Pomskies in NZ following IPA breed standards and ethics, our goal is to continue ensuring our Pomskies are created with only the best care & well-being of our Studs & Dams and are proud of where we are now and excited for the future. Slowly and with careful selection we have now produced F1b Pomskies in 2020 and are excited for our F2 lines in 2021. We Embark DNA test our sires and dams, and take pride in our socialisation techniques that ensure our puppies are ready to go from our home to yours.

Our puppies are raised inside our home, are well socialised prior to leaving our home with encouraged visitation from family, children, and those wanting to meet our dogs and the environment they live in.  With purpose built indoor kennel room, nearly 10 acres of land to romp around on, bush running tracks and a fresh water swimming hole our dogs truly do live in a blissful home. Puppies are familiarised with everyday household noises, activity and constant handling from the moment of birth.  We introduce our puppies to our other dogs of varying ages and sizes so a healthy foundation of canine behaviour is established. 

 

Our ultimate goal is to continue to better the crossbreed producing superior offspring. Our first focus is on the health of our dogs. All our dogs are health tested through Embark which accurately screens for 170+ genetic conditions; both breed specific and generic. With experience in the veterinary field for more than 15 years and completed papers in Canine Psychology at Massey University, this knowledge and skill has given me a solid foundation in canine breeding ethically.  If you choose to adopt a puppy from BellaRosa Pomskies NZ, you can rest assured that your pet has been bred and raised by someone with experience, thoughtfully and with purpose - taking temperament, health, conformation, genetics & talent into consideration.
